Stop and Smell the Roses at The Dallas Arboretum and see a new ‘Rose’

The Dallas Arboretum Rose garden contains over 200 Hybrid Tea Roses of 16 different varieties. This year visitors will get to see a new 'Rose' that's right; as part of the upcoming Black Heritage, Celebration, visitors can see Dallas's DONNAROSE, owner of Donna Rose Design House.

On May 14-15, 2022, stop by and smell the Roses by viewing the original designs by Donna Rose, a native Jamaican living in Dallas. Donna Rose designs are custom designs that Redefine Modern Chic and celebrate women.

Donna's foray into fashion started in high school. However, it was put on hold to pursue her undergraduate degree in Marketing and pursue her other dream, to be an attorney. After years of practicing transactional law at a large firm, DonnaRose started designing again in 2009.

This Rose's creations began to bloom early in high school, doing cheerleading outfits, which gave her the confidence to become more adventurous and designed and sewed her first gown for a pageant. She loves to bring her creations to life by creating modern chic designs using color and prints focusing on elegance and movement.

Donnas says, "My clothing celebrates the female form in all shapes, sizes, and colors." Her designs are a perfect fit for this year's theme. # DallasArboretum will honor the past, enjoy the present and look into the future to celebrate diversity through the Black culture experiences. Stop by the booth to see these unique designs and learn about this beautiful 'Rose.'
